Network Solutions Sucks Donkey Balls

Don't use Network Solutions for anything. In my opinion, they are sneaky folks that will force you to buy a domain from them should you ever make the mistake of searching the availability of a domain via their web site.
See these articles.
What happens - You search for a domain. If it is available, Network Solutions registers the domain via something called domain tasting - thus preventing you from registering the domain with anyone other than Network Solutions. This is really bad when a client comes to you wanting to register a domain, but the client originally searched for it via Network Solutions and thus inadvertently locked it down. Oops!
To me, this sucks donkey balls.
Thankfully, they are not the only game in town. The market will punish these knuckleheads within an inch of their lives.

Even More Zombie Shirts!

All righty, we have ourselves a whole mess of zombie shirts!

I'm a zombie traditionalist in that I think zombies must be reanimated dead not just whacked out dudes with a bad cold, but it seems I'm in the minority on that subject. It ain't a zombie if it ain't dead in my opinion.
Here we have a couple shirts for folks involved in the debate over fast or slow zombies.

This is another shirt for the eco-zombies among us. It ain't easy being green…and undead.

Finally, we have the obligatory, "don't tase me bro" shirt. Not really about zombies per say, but is fun nonetheless. Heh heh

Site Review: Zombiewalk.com

ZombieWalk.com is a great site for those of us looking to take part in, as you might expect, zombie walks.
What is a zombie walk? Wikipedia explains:
A zombie walk (also known as a zombie mob, zombie march, zombie horde or zombie lurch) is an organized public gathering of people who dress up in zombie costumes. Usually taking place in an urban centre, the participants make their way around the city streets and through shopping malls in a somewhat orderly fashion and often limping their way towards a local cemetery or other public space.
ZombieWalk.com is set up as a disscussion forum, broken into sections by state and country. It also has sections with advice for zombies preparing to participate in a walk, photo galleries, movie disscussion, and general zombie blabber. Hmmm, probably a lot of groaning and moaning in that last group. Overall, the site is well organized and very functional which should make finding the information you want to know a lot easier. Good job.
I was slack and missed one we had in my local area because I failed to check the site. A mistake I don't intend to make again.
Some folks really go all out. I'd say it would be worth attending a walk, even if you didn't want to get zombiefied, just to watch the zombies milling about. For those of you will active imaginations, you can pretend it is an actual outbreak! Muhahahaha! Just don't get bitten!
Here is a clip from YouTube of a past zombie walk:

Do You Has A Flavor? - New Shirt

This new shirt asks the question every zombie asks. Do you has a flavor? Heh heh. lolcats style.
I took part in a group conversation, some years back, about some some cannibal that was in the news at the time. Eventually, someone asked about what human tastes like. The obligatory "tastes like chicken" joke came up but one lady gave us pause when she objected to a claim someone made that humans taste like pork. It wasn't so much what she said, but how she said it. She gave off the impression that she had actually tried some cooked human at some point! We all laughed nervously and moved to a new topic.
Do you has a flavor?
I'm working on making this one into an apron. Heh heh. Perfect for the cook of the house.

I hope each of you has a great holiday and gets to enjoy a good meal and spending time with friends and family.
After eating all that food, I suspect that many of us will turn into Thanksgiving zombies. Groaning, and moving slowly about with distended bellies. Heh heh. These zombies are safe however, they have already had their fill of turkey, taters, and whatever else happend to have been on the menu.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The Mist - Looks Great Even If It Isn't A Zombie Movie

Wow! The trailers for Stephen King's The Mist look fantastic!
So far, at least in the trailers I have seen, they don't give away too much. This is good. What they have shown creates a sense of mystery and horror.
Too often movie trailers give away too much. A film that had a bad trailer was Swim Fan. The trailer literally showed every freakin' plot point all the way up to the climax. Hey fellas, there is no reason for anyone to see your movie since I have already seen the cliff notes version - including the end!
The trailers for the original Matrix movie are examples of how this should be done. They show you some interesting action, some dialogue that peeks your interest, but still do not reveal the story. You need to see the movie to get that..."No one can be told what the Matrix is." They gave you just enough to start guessing.
After watching the trailer for The Mist I have lots of questions I want answered: What is the mist? What is killing the people? Is the mist alive? Is it supernatural? Will the people survive? See, I now have questions in the back of my head that are hungry for answers. That is a great way to get folks, folks like me anyway, to go see a movie.
With luck, The Mist will live up to expectations and be an exciting ride.
It opens everywhere November 21st!

Even More Shirts!!!! - Be Carbon Neutral...Be A Zombie T-Shirt

The new shirt continues the eco-zombie theme. (Eco-Zombie - hmmm, I may have just coined a term. Heh.)
Some in the eco movement think that humans tend to suck. If you fall into that camp then zombification may be for you! Sure, you will emit some methane and other gasses as you decay, but it is as carbon neutral as folks can get. Zombies don't drive cars, eat processed food or use electricity. Become a zombie and save the world!
Do your part for the environment! Cast off this mortal coil and join the armies of the undead!

Zombie Attack at Hierakonpolis
By Zombie Wrangler @ 6:28 AM ::

A friend sent me a link to this interesting article:
From the very beginning of Predynastic research, Sir W.M. Flinders Petrie reported several headless, but seemingly intact, burials during his famous excavations at Naqada in 1895. Further excavations at Gerzeh and other sites revealed more of these curious burials, but no satisfactory explanation could be proposed at the time.
Hmmm, evidence of a ancient zombie outbreak? Possibly. The archeological team has decided to not take any chances.
Little is known about how long the virus can lay dormant, thus it is possible that another outbreak could occur at any time--given its history, especially at Hierakonpolis. With this potential in mind, we asked Tom Flanigan, zombie eradication expert for the U.S. Forestry Service, to draw up a contingency plan for us--see his report below. However, we stress that nothing amiss has been observed during any of our recent excavations (though the number of missing heads is a bit curious).
Techniques utilizing equipment the archeological team would have on had on hand are covered.
Best line:
A little mummy dust in an open wound or scratch could have you driving the Devil's Cadillac in the fast lane all the way to Zombie-town.
Hat tip to Alonzo
